Because the Action FUND is classified as a 501(c)(4) organization, it may not accept contributions from corporations, foundations or unions. The work of the Planned Parenthood Action FUND of Santa Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo Counties, Inc. must be financed entirely by non-tax deductible gifts from individuals.

Why Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood is the oldest and largest voluntary provider of family planning services in the United States. As a nationwide network of affiliates who represent millions of reproductive health care clients, Planned Parenthood is in a unique position to understand the hardships brought on by the anti-choice activities and to articulate the issues on behalf of those Americans whose voices most often go unheard in the legislative and electoral process.

Invitation to Partnership

The success of the Action FUND depends on the leadership of people who support Planned Parenthood's goals. Support is for a dual need: first, to provide medical and educational services, and second, to protect our right to access to those services. Both are high priorities - made higher by the anti-choice minority who would deny us our rights.
